Hi all

I'm not sure where I've seen it before (I swear it was on an XR6/8) ... but has anyone seen the little bits of metal/plastic that sit behind the front upper grille which is angled upwards, to deflect air towards the top snorkel?

I thought XR6t's had them standard.. but mine doesn't.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Cheers.

Hmm anyone have a picture of one, or know where to buy one seperately.

Im sure its not too hard to make something similar which would do the sme job? (assuming it actually makes a difference)

The cars come factory fitted with plastic part that sits on top of the radiator and has two deflectors.

On the passenger side it vents into a square recess pressed into the underside of the bonnet. The recess is sealed off from the engine bay with rubber tubing thereby providing a cold air entry for the (upper) snorkel that is separated from the hot air in the engine bay.

On the driver's side the plastic part vents into the engine bay in the direction of the turbo.

There are also after market versions available.
