Vibration Noise

Need Help Guys

At 125kph+ (whilst overtaking) I get a real bad vibration noise coming from the front of the car – it’s like the sound that we used to do as kids with a peg and cardboard on the spokes of a pushbike.

The noise disappears at less than 125kph.

There is no car vibration that I can feel but it is loud and very audible.

So any of you experienced something similar or have any ideas?

Craig

I had the same type of noise Craig, do you have a bonnet stone guard? that's what my noise was, try going for a drive without it. Let us know how you go.

Guys,

I have both bonnet and headlight protectors.

I fitted them myself and I do not get the noise.

Maybe they have not been fitted correctly or are loose...

You may want to check out the screws under the bonnet and also the 2 black plastic lugs on each end..

I'll bet Rowlan's right, same thing happened to me on my EFII XR6, I took the guard off as the noise was from it hitting the bonnet!

Yeh, I think I'll try to put some sort of bracing or stiffening in my stone guard. It appears to be fitted correctly. While its making the noise, if I get my head up to the top of the windscreen, I can see it vibrating in the centre. Perhaps Craigs & my bonnet protector are a different manufacturer supplied part to your's bdennis.
