Guest Craig Guests Posted 02/06/03 02:31 AM Share Posted 02/06/03 02:31 AM Need Help GuysAt 125kph+ (whilst overtaking) I get a real bad vibration noise coming from the front of the car – it’s like the sound that we used to do as kids with a peg and cardboard on the spokes of a pushbike. The noise disappears at less than 125kph.There is no car vibration that I can feel but it is loud and very audible. So any of you experienced something similar or have any ideas?Craig Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/3512-vibration-noise/ Share on other sites

Posted 02/06/03 03:42 AM Share Posted 02/06/03 03:42 AM I'll bet Rowlan's right, same thing happened to me on my EFII XR6, I took the guard off as the noise was from it hitting the bonnet! Posted 02/06/03 04:20 AM Share Posted 02/06/03 04:20 AM Yeh, I think I'll try to put some sort of bracing or stiffening in my stone guard. It appears to be fitted correctly. While its making the noise, if I get my head up to the top of the windscreen, I can see it vibrating in the centre. Perhaps Craigs & my bonnet protector are a different manufacturer supplied part to your's bdennis.
