picked up the new machine on friday. great drive!! its great car and lovely to drive. people just can't stop staring as I drive past. real head turner!!

couple of small problems:

*when I got in the XR mats I ordered were grey, and not blue like I asked for. didn't worry about changing them - the grey looks pretty good anyway.

*the driver's mat was not fixed to the floor and the little screws didn't go in properly. went back on sat and got them to fix them for me.

*when I got home after picking it up, I left it for a little bit while I got ready to go out again. when I went to start it up, to my surprise, it wouldn't start!!!!! it didn't even click over. I rang the dealer back (lucky they was still someone there @ 6.30pm) and they said the battery was dead. they said that when the cars are sitting in shipment for so long the battery gets flat. they should've re-charged b4 I got delivery. I had to jump start it at home and let it run for 5mins before driving off. its ok now!!

one major problem:

*the front pass leather seat has a stain-like mark on the shoulder. just noticed it yesterday. the seat might need replacing. not too happy about that, but its ok as long as they fix it.

other than that, its an awesome car that I will enjoy for a long time. now I just need to pick some 18" wheels for it.

p.s. I don't have access to a digi camera, but I will soon. once I do the pics will be posted.

Mate, congratualations

I'm sure once you have all your small problems fixed, you will enjoy your machine very much.

tell us, what color is it, what options did you get, how much, what your mates and family think about it, where you got it and all the stuff we all want to hear, don't forget the pics.

When I picked up my car, the dealer told me that they didn't screw the driver's mat in because it required holes to be drilled in the floor and a lot of customers don't like that. The mat doesn't move around anyway, so I just left it.

Oh, and I like your choice of colour too! :innocent:

Blue the holes are only a screwdriver or such jammed through the carpet not the "floor", good way to stop the mat's sliding round all the time.
