I had an X Force 4" Dump Pipe and CAT fitted a couple of weeks ago which I am more than pleased with. I am putting the car in tomorrow morning for the rest of the twin 2.5 stainless system into twin rears before Simon fits the new Process West stage 2 cooler and gives it all the once over next Monday. Has anyone got any reports or info on the X Force CAT back systems. Apparently there are two types the one being fitted has the smaller rear and centre mufflers :roflmbo:

Hi Rick,

Good to see you're still going strong.

Check out my thread at http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...32341&st=36

I have pictures of both types of x-force, plus I measured the dimensions.

That exhaust works very well.

Thanks Brian. Yeah I've been in the US and UK more than I've been home lately and thought it was time to spend some more sheckles on the beasty to keep it up to scratch, although I hardly get time to drive it lately.

Great thread. How much louder did you find the smaller mufflers. I'm not overly worried about noise as such, just don't want to end up with a drone. The MANTA system coming off the car has a bit of a bark but the mufflers on it are bigger than what is on the X Force and the X Force is also stainless so the note should be sharper?? Hope its not a droner. Did you have the twin rear tail pipe setup?

The smaller mufflers are definitely louder, which of course a lot of the younger guys would find OK.

However, the drone around 1800 to 2000 revs was unbearable, especially at freeway speed.

I'd say at freeway speed the bigger x-force mufflers are close the db of a stock system, and no drone whatsoever. Under fast accel they are of course louder.

I did not use the twin pipe tips of the x-force, but cut the twin pipes out of the x-force rear muffler and had welded the stock F6 rear tip. It's a reasonably good line-up of the pipes from both sides, and from the rear you wouldn't know the exhaust was modified.

Had the good men at Prestige exhausts fit the rest yesterday and I am pleased to report that even with the smaller mufflers the car is quieter than the mild steel MANTA system which was also twice the weight of the X Force. It definately has more go (according to my bumometer) :spoton: and also pings in 4th under hard acceleration. This will be fixed when Simon throws in the new intercooler on monday. You won't be disappionted BUL11E. There is no drone and the cars makes a mean bark when you give it a bootful. The drone is dead and gone :yikes::nono:

Good stuff hypnodoc, now I defiantly cant wait to get the sucker on the car, but im goin to have to wait a week or two to get the full potential of the system, my front mount im fitting on saturday arvo , I get the injectors next week and then off to get me a tune, but I will definatly let u know how things go with the system, I already know I will not be disappointed.
