Forgot to ask at the time, but was the 10.92 and also is your current tune benefiting from the recent breakthough with torque tables on the ZFMy car hasn't been programmed with the new launch software yet. But will soon. Considering I only had one pass doing a normal 1st gear stall up not the 2nd to 1st technique I've been using before I think there is more in the package without the software. so when do you go and beat that "slow" 10.92 quarter??? Hopefully very soon Just been very lazy lately.

Imagine what it'd take once it got a tickle. I can remember reading a long time ago something about one of the ZF trans and that with the paddle shift fitted (doable with ours) that it actually stabs the throttal on downshifts, is this the 32 that does this or another version. The article said the version of zf trans would appear in a falcon anytime soon as it was over kill for our application.A friend of mine has the BMW X5 with the M5 motor etc. For a big beast, it moves. The transmission is unbelieveable. Smooth and smart. Brake hard from a high speed and it blips the throttle as it down shifts at around 3500 rpm from memory. Very manual like...would be a real nice addition to any car.

Is it possible to solve the problem of matching up the ford 5.4 motor to the 6hp32 zf trans with a custom ecu? Nick
Guest Guests Posted 14/12/07 05:33 AM Share Posted 14/12/07 05:33 AM The problem isn't the ecu itself but the software that runs it, ZF won't hand you thir software program pat you on the back and say have fun. I would think the only way to get one to work would be to run a ecu from a car that has one fitted and hope there's good editing software for it. 67stangnba Member 3 Member For: 17y 3m 22d Posted 16/12/07 04:17 AM Share Posted 16/12/07 04:17 AM I had hoped there was another way--the only cars I have found with the 6hp32 are bmw's or the rolls' phantom (owned by bmw) and from what I know (which again is not much about the electronics side) trying to customize the ecu form one of those cars on a ford engine would be not likely, if possible (those engines are both v12's). Anyone know of any other semi-auto transmissions that could bolt up to the 5.4 motor and handle 370kW/500ftlb? I'm trying to think of ideas for a sports car that can be driven on the track and take me to work comfortably.
Guest Guests Posted 16/12/07 05:58 AM Share Posted 16/12/07 05:58 AM If that's all your planning to make the ZF will be right with a rebuild, I have heard of one F6 making 4oorwkw and probally 8oo+nm torque with a rebuilt box and so far all is good.
