I agree with you adam not all dealers are the same.

I have found a new dealer sinclair ford at penrith from a link on this site.

they are open till midnight most weekdays and have the can do attitude I like to see.

they will be getting my future sales as well as the family buisness.

Everyone talks like it's Ford's fault.

If you brought a carton of milk from the local store and it was off are you going to be pissed at the milk company or the shop? The shop obviously.

...but after a while the milk company will stop supplying that shop in fear of it tarnishing their reputation! :roflmbo:

I do agree with the sentiment of your post though, it's just that I'd love nothing more than Ford (and the other manufacturers) to turn to the bad-egg dealerships and tell them to either pull their heads in or their license is withdrawn.

It's definitely a case of trying dealers until you find one you're happy with and sticking to it.

I have been happy with my local Ford dealership so far, I supply my own oils and just leave them with instructions on what I want done, and it has been done no worries.

I also told them the last time they had it please be extra careful as I only picked it up from the panel beaters half an hour ago (I had the rope hook holes welded and smoothed and the tub painted) and the service manager even let me drive it off the hoist when I picked it up, and told me they replaced some stuff under warranty I didnt even know about :welcome2:

It sounded to me like the dealership did you a favour in the end.

They admited a problem then helped rectify it by giving you a replacement filter so you weren't charged.

The dealership could have denied the problem & left you out of pocket.

Thank for giving us the heads up on air filters though because it has been a while since I gave mine a clean. :violin:

99% of all ford service dealers are dick heads. As for not blaming ford in stead of the dealer... If I dont get what I wont from my supplier I give them the flick, that's how it works in my shop, the customer must leave happy.

Dont tell me dont blame FORD as if they dont know all about it. Bullsh*t.

We all here love our FORDS but there service really sux.
