I can see white stains and a small wet spot about the size of a 10 cent piece on the plastic floor that sits under the radiator on the passengers side.

My concern is I know that some of these radiators have split before.

But I don`t know if its a split or just a leak form somewhere as its not oozing out.

I am thinking of putting a transmission cooler in soon but obviously dont want to start anything if the raidiator is on its way out.

I have mentioned the white stains several times to hpf and ford but they always said they couldn`t find a leak.

Anybody know whats going on?

anybody had a split radiator do they leak from top or bottom?

If its a white chalky type stain, then you have a coolant leak... the overflow hose doesnt blow down there does it? If no, take the radiator out and get a pressure test done on it.

They dont have an overflow hose do they?

doesn`t it go back in to the expansion tank.

Did the car get a cooling pressure pressure test done when it was looked at?

If they did and it didnt loose pressure then I wouldnt suspect the cooling system.

Could be a leak in the condensor or pipe connections for the A/C system, Its not likly as the A/C would loose its cooling effect, but you sould get a cooling pressure test done and if good get them to check the pressure of the A/C system.

Some times you wont see a leak untill the cooling system heats up, say when you go on a long drive. It could be leaking from the end tank crimp when it heats up and expands. If the car is cold when it is pressure tested then it wont show up in some cases.
