I have to do the 120k service this weekend so I will weigh one of the rears then with the tyre on. AWSMXR your Simmons are made the same way, genuine 3 piece forged rims are always lighter.......hence the crazy price for them new!!! I went to tyre factory like you said and they rolled the rear guards great. I would like to go as low as yours but police down here really don't have a sense of humour, and the negative camber would burn my wallet to hell!!!

You can pick up some great bargains on ebay and firesport just keep an eye out for forged 17" rims that were on R32-R33 Skylines, TT and V8 Soarer, Nissan 300ZX TT, basically any rear drive Japanese performance car with 5x114.3 stud pattern. Offset is pretty close, and most big HP Jap cars had an 8" front 9" rear width combo. If you need to fine tune offset and centre bore like I did just get Wheelworks in Dandenong to machine them- $20.00 cash per wheel. I bought mine for $400.00 BUY IT NOW on E-bay last Friday off a guy whose girlfriend wanted them out of the garage........WTF is she doing in there anyway?!?!?!? They were off a Nissan 300ZX TT and I think he just didn't know what he had. New in 1996-2000 they retail here in Australia for around $3600.00 but I think most find their way to Australia Via Import scene. Even Jap Wreckers have sets for around $800.00 including rubber now in 17". Just be carful some front rims will go close to calipers depending on style so trial fit if unsure!!! :spit:

Took some quick pics of my T with the 17x8 and 17x9 STERN lightweight forged 3 piece rims. King SSL rear and SL front, some centre bore machining, guard rolling and presto they fitted! Super light and very strong I know they are only 17" but I like a bit of sidewall. Cheap for skids too!!!

Hey SDWAYZ

Do you have a side picture to see the ride hight propely.

Cheers, Pete

Sdwayz,

Have you seen any lightweight rims like these in jap wreckers in melb? if so where cause that's the path I want to take with mine. Plus it makes them look more racey.

Cheers
