To get back to Canberra you need to do a U turn and go back through the Cotter. Corin Forrest Bobsled/Alpine Slide is out that way (about halfway between Cotter and Tharwa, after Tidbinbilla) and is worth a look. They close the slide in Winter as it snows out there, not really enough to ski on, maybe ok for toboggoning but mostly just for sightseeing.Still closed? I thought they would have sorted it out by now.You don't need to go all the way back through the Cotter, shortly after the turn off to Corin Forrest on the left hand side is a turn off to get back to Tuggeranong via Point Hut Crossing. I used this road when the bridge was closed.

And watch out for the cops. From my experience of Canberra, the Federal police, when they pull you over, they know less about the laws pertaining to our cars than most granny's! Theres a mexican place underneath an office block, I can't remember it's name, but was quality food when I lived there. And theres 2 Indian restaurants, again, can't remember their names, but one was upstairs ontop of offices and the other was a couple of doors up from an Italian joint ??Trattoria with red/white checked table cloths. All three of these places are brilliant. I think if I remember correctly, the indian/italian joints were in Kingston?

I got a bit lost and ended up on the tuggeranong pkwy, dont ask me how. but I got to see alot of canberra that day.
