I have been away a lot for the last 6 months and hardly driven the car for more than 10 or 15ks at a time but it was feeling really sluggish and finally I got time to take it up to prestige exhausts. Very interesting what they found, I had put a 4inch SMB Pipe and cat on the car about a year ago, and the fitter who shall remain nameless :spoton: had cut the pipe and rejoined it in 2 places and the cat was sitting about half a mill off the floorpan :crybaby: , the biscuit in the cat had compressed and slid to the back of the housing, 1200 bucks down the drain and a car that had no power  . Anyway the guys at prestige fitted an X Force 4" dump pipe and cat, man what a difference, spins up nicely in 2nd again. I also fitted Pedders front lower control arm bushes to get rid of the squishy standard one and there is a noticable difference in steering and road feedback not to mention much more responsive steering, definately worth doing IMHO. Then I had the synchros and cones for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th replaced under warranty last week by the good folks at Titan Ford and now all is good again :spoton: Just got to find some time to go for a worthwhile drive :crybaby:

Hypo-Who..? where the hell have you been doc......

:spoton:

Half way around the bloody world and back mate. I can't seem to get out of an aeroplane for the last 6 months, got another year of it yet  Still it has its good side :spoton:

so the x-force system is treating you well, cause I am looking into getting one. is it the 3.5 inch or the twin 2.5 inch system?

Its the 4" one piece dump pipe with the 4" cat that drops down to 3.5 inches inside, nice well made piece of gear I must say, I also had a twin 2.5 mandrell bent stainless mid pipe as the other clown had used 2.25 that went into 2.5 so the whole thing was nothing more than a restrictive botch up :spoton: Going really nicely now though the X Force stuff may be imported but its good quality at an excellent price. :spoton:

Good to see the problem sorted. :spoton:

I just want to know whether you had to use your professional skills to convince a Ford dealer to change the synchros in your modified car. Most of us would surely get the usual knockback under the same circumstances.... :spoton:

Good to hear doc. What happeded to the synchros?

IH8TOADS the synchros were always a bit dodgy, tight changes, and the ocassional 1st to 2nd graunch, REDLINE improved it dramatically then it just started to feel to tight in all the gears so Titans just fixed it up.

Raphoon. They knew about it from the 1500klm service, and when you buy 8 to 10 cars a year they tend to want to keep your business I think. :msm:

New. It goes to doctor Simon next week for a tickle. It seems to be fine but better safe than expensively sorry.

Terebro. The X Force 4 inch is very good quality and well made, it has good clearance everywhere. The SMB had big hammer dents in it where the fitter had belted it so it wasn't hitting the firewall or bell housing. A dismal mess.

The X Force hasn't knocked or rattled once, its also a big difference in the smoothness of the car now that the CAT isn't sitting up against the floor. I am going to get the remainder of the X Force system fitted next week, twin 2.5 mandrel bent stainless into twins exhausts at the back so its all the same. :doyou:
