Option 1 WILL fix the problem. One car I worked on, I had to redo the wastegate port a second time as it wasn't done enough the first time.. The car ran perfect with the std tune after that. No overboost

Thanks for the comments Gents, I guess the cost to enlrge the wastegate port you would just get a tune do you think. I'm looking at the custom tune from C&V & the 60lb injectors. Danny are you doing a group buy again on the siemen 60lb injectors, if so put me down.

Yeh dude. Reply to my group buy in the group buy section

I will have a look but I will get some. what sort of power to do think you will gain with 60lb injectors, K&N pad, cold air intake & the exhaust I also have a good button extreme clutch, Would you get 300rwkw

Valvesprings, Intercooler and actuator and no doubt you should see 330rwkw..

Otherwise close to 300 is possible.

Just remember should doesnt always mean will.

Some cars make the numbers easy. Some you have to throw everything at.

Get a tune done sooner than later :finger: Its not worth the risk of running the motor to lean.Get a CAPA box .Some good deals on Ebay.

There was no written garentee with my post :P

but based on his modifications, add a cooler, valve springs, and a actuator, there should be no reason why he wouldnt be far of the ball.

He is having overboosting problems, so its not like his got a restrictive exhaust / cat..

With only Intercooler, Valve springs, Injectors, I see anywhere from 260rwkw to 280rwkw, depending how much boost the standard actuator wants to hold.. usually around the 11psi top end..

But yes.. running the std actuator with 1 duty cycle, and if its pushing the gate open pushing the boost down. then yeah.. You cant do much more than that..

Any one know if the standard valves spring & actuator will handle with the 4inch exhaust once the tune & injectors are done, I don't want to change these as yet. Will I still get an overboosting issue due to the size of the exhaust. Danny you mentioned that your boost will raise up to 17psi on a cold night. Will I be able to control the boost to around 11-13psi

I have standard exhaust minus cat. I modified my exhaust port and flapper when I removed the turbo to put a 12psi actuator on. I thought I'd do both with 1 stone..

When I put my nizpro stg2 plenum, intercooler etc etc on my car, during the night I could NOT get any less than 17psi, and that was with the actuator hooked directly to the boost line on the turbo.. ie, should have been around 11.8 PSI(actuator rating).. During the day, I was getting on average of of 13 psi..

To fix my problem, I put a cat back in. Boost was controled at 12psi again, hot or cold weather..

Since then I have removed my turbo again and opened the wastegate port RIGHT UP, with some guidence from Simon @ nizpro. I originally didnt open it up this much as I was worried the seat would crack being so thin.

I have now put my catless exhaust back on the car with no problems.

Valve spring problems can be small or big.. if your runnng standard intake / exhaust, you will be able to push boost up, the more you free up the exhaust or intake.. ie, the more power you make, the less boost you'd be able to run.

Personally I had no valve spring problems with 14psi.. putting the nizpro kit on I did notice it starting to valve float.. But then again, it shows why nizpros stg 1 kit is, 1) valve springs, 2) injectors, 3) tune..

in my experiance, the standard actuator can only hold approx 11psi up top.. So my suggest would be. valve springs, injectors, and well since you are possibly still going to have overboosting problems, get the wastegate port enlarged and bigger flapper and put a 12psi actuator on at the same time..
