You will generally find that if you are a good employee that more lucrative pay for performance agreements can be negotiated. Can often be likened to the good ole win/win principle, as opposed to the employee abrogating their responsibilities. If you have a boss that is an arse, and doesnt want to pay you properly etc. Then you would be better off looking for another job anyways wouldnt you? we have the lowest unemployment in Australias history now so its not like you will have any trouble getting a job now is it?And do all the tradies on this forum and all the small business people realise that the compulsory GST registration has been increased from a $50,000 turnover limit to $75,000 as of the new financial year?how good is that I guess alot of people will be de-registering for GST.It wasnt announced on the news but my dad read it today in the paper somewhere. NZ is out of ANZUS - good on them.........and why do Aussies fight everyone elses wars?To keep Veterans Affairs ticking over?George W is a patent idiot and he's not my mate.We paid our WW2 debt in Vietnam.Labour generally speaking, couldn't run a lemonade stand but I'll put up with them for 3 years if I have to; because I believe Costello is the greater of two evils.Time to go -John HowardId also like to say that I believe your 20 year old son has PLENTY of opportunity to buy his first home, and who says it has to be a house? why cant he buy a unit like ive just done, and work his way up to a house?how much is rent on a unit? $300 - $350 per week? are you telling me you cant buy a small 2 bedroom unit somewhere with 5% deposit (or even no deposit) for that sort of rent/repayment equivilant? I think you can my friend. The first property is always the hardest, it always has been, I certainly dont think ANYBODY is shut out of the property market, even at todays prices. You just need to look around, even rural areas have an awesome rental return. You can buy a house in warwick for $140,000 which has a rental return of $200 - $250 a week.Every day there are new finance companies coming out with great deals, finance applications are getting easier, with low doc loans and all. Your son could finance a property at 106% and negative gear it so he doesnt pay tax. He could go in with a mate, he could even borrow the deposit if he was clever enough.George Bush isnt my mate either, but costello certainly is. In my opinion, they have not done enough to inspire the populace, and I believe it will be a case of better the devil you know. The war in Iraq will go on for ever, eventually we will leave, but they will still war within themselves.Australia will prosper for 3 years after labour get in.The plane will not take off.Scotty Edited 10/05/07 10:31 AM by Kimberley Scott
