Jeez Jetters, looks like we have it too good. Maybe we need some Labor Party imposed financial hardship to toughen us all up. Must be getting soft, fat and comfortable. Can't have that now can we :finger:

NZ is out of ANZUS - good on them.........and why do Aussies fight everyone elses wars?To keep Veterans Affairs ticking over?George W is a patent idiot and he's not my mate.We paid our WW2 debt in Vietnam.Labour generally speaking, couldn't run a lemonade stand but I'll put up with them for 3 years if I have to; because I believe Costello is the greater of two evils.

Doesnt change the facts that when labour was in power, we had no money, howard in power and were debt free.

If any monkey could have done it, why didnt labour?

Doesnt sound like the unions did a very good job of bargaining then? if you think people are getting $85 an hour? and the unions only got them $27 who are these people on $85.00 an hour & what roles are they doing, are you talking the builders? the ones spending their own money to make the things happen?

If so there worth $85.00 an hour, and the subbies following him around on $27, sounds right to me, add on holidays, super etc. the subbies are probably on more like $35 - $40 an hour, when you work it out from the builders end.

I think most people on this forum would think $27 an hour is quite good for somebody that is on wages.

Yeh but with that new law of his it gives the employer power to take away all of your entitlements, so u may get a good hourly rate but in the end u get :finger: all

Again, just another meaningless statement, have you anything to support or back up that up, or did you read it in Solidarity Monthly :finger:

AWA's are not there to support maximum pay for minimum effort. You will generally find that if you are a good employee that more lucrative pay for performance agreements can be negotiated. Can often be likened to the good ole win/win principle, as opposed to the employee abrogating their responsibilities.

That said there will always be the unscrupulous empolyer that will abuse the system regardless of which Government is in power.

Might be time for me to retire from this thread

Any way the eba went to vote and surprise surprise all the non australians voted for it because they were told if the joined the union they would have no job. this sh*t went on for a while so no matter how u look at it Howard will go :spit:
