Just had a new cold air induction fitted. It has not been dyno tested yet but on the road it has more go and better pickup and also better fuel economy. Better by 1.5 litres per 100km.

It is designed and made by SSinductions.

I will post some photo's.

The first is of the cold air induction with grill off showing air deflectors and the engine oil cooler I fitted.

Have been on to these people waiting for there unit to be put on the market.Looks alot better than there own discription.Like that factory look.

They have I assume included the air directors in the kit mate?.

I am coming up to Qld next month so looks like I will be getting one for sure.Very good.

I have serious concerns about the deflectors used in this fitment of the oil cooler or induction duct which ever they are fitted for! They have almost completely blocked the ducting through the grill for the radiator. Not a smart move. might look nice but not a clever idea! There is almost not enough air flow through the radiator, intercooler and air conditioning condensor as it is and you go do that! Its going to cause all sorts of problems! overheating of the engine, poor air conditioning performances. Very scarry!

I have seen other ssinductions stuff before and for what they are they are way over priced! and the workman ship in the air box is pretty ordinary.

better off using a GT airbox and ducts. much neater and better for the long life of the engine and other heat stressed parts!

each his own I guess. If they did that to my car they would get a kick up the arse!

I'd like to know what the under bonnet temps are, considering dealers have been told NOT to add the XR8 oil cooler to the XR6T due to temperature issues.
