Member 578 Member For: 19y 22d Gender: Male Location: CQ Posted 06/05/07 10:48 AM Share Posted 06/05/07 10:48 AM Hi guys about 4 weeks ago I noticed a drop in power and boost I checked every hose, clamp nook and cranny I drove it down to power torque engines and it was using alot of fuel, they also couldnt work it out untill mark put it on the dyno and said it didnt sound the same as before, and said it was the exhaust. So I drove it back to bundy and pulled the dump pipe and cat out and noticed the 3.5 metal cat I just had putin was ratteling so I cut the cat out and looked inside and one end was all melted and the biscut had come lose, any one else have this problem Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It happenend over night . But unbolted cat to the side and it went back to normal . I put a CATCO back on it 3" and went well till I sold it . Cats these days are crap . There's metal cats and then there's metal cats AFAIK, metal cat is a generic term for a type of cat (metallic substrate), whereas a MetalCat is actually a very good example of a metal cat.
