Bump on the 2nd part of the second question above my post. Anyone had just an actuator fitted and how much did it cost to be fitted? Is it safe to upgrade the actuator without being tuned for a week or so?

Hi Guys,

I have been a member here for about a month and have been reading through all your forums. Great work guys, it has helped me out a fair bit.

regarding the actuator, MTQ has quoted me $164.5 + gst for a 9.32 actuator and $112.72 for a 11.8 actuator. I was advised that they are prity simple to install but they can install it but it is $130ph. I am also looking to get one because apparently I need to replace mine so that I can pull arround 300kw atw (currently running 250 and apparently using 5pound boost) so I though I would share what I have found.

Any one have any info on how to install one? or is it not something I should be playing around with.

Thanks guys

hey guys, recently my car is starting to spike higher and higher boost levels, when I originally got my car back it spiked to 15psi then went back down to 10psi, now at the moment with a WOT I see the gauge will fling past 20psi quickly and back-firing pretty badly, mates behind me even tell me it blows a little puff of black smoke out the back, also have a little rattle coming from somewhere (not sure if its the exhaust or motor) , although this isnt my daily driver im just worried this is going to blow the turbo or motor. any suggestions???

thanks Leo
