nayff Member 6 Member For: 18y 6d Posted 03/05/07 12:14 PM Share Posted 03/05/07 12:14 PM G'day everyone. I have a 2003 xr6t with the 5sp man. Has anyone else had problems with selecting 3 gear occasionally. Either from 2nd to 3rd or from 5th back to 3rd. Seems to catch and baulk sometimes. Is there a fix or is it just how the gearbox is?! Thanks all. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/34680-5sp-man/ Share on other sites

This should dramatically improve shifting and clutch feel...failing that your Clutch Is Farked and or possibly your 3rd gear Syncro's.. Good luck..There is plenty more on this if you do a search in the sponsors section "Mal Wood"Pete Edited 03/05/07 01:08 PM by stealthxr Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/34680-5sp-man/#findComment-528443 Share on other sites

I have been in the past with double clutching and the stick seems to fall into place no problems. But my old boy, from another generation says this is bad for the box. what are your thought's Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/34680-5sp-man/#findComment-528527 Share on other sites

The cars due for another service soon so I'll buy some oil and get my mechanic to do a change as Pete suggested. Then see how we go from there.
