Every tune shop has put out some lemons, it really comes down to the willingness to be honest with the customer and their abilities at problem solving, looks like they are missing one or the other here and it really is not giving them a good reputation of late.

Nizpro do some great work, my edit box is a bit of a *beep*, I have tunes from a few different tuners and have had an opportunity to make a good comparison, between all of them. Let me go out and say my Nizpro tune is a good tune, but it isn't without its problems, these are nothing major and perhaps I am fussy, but I do understand that you can only do a certain amount of work for the money you are charging.

Now a common misconception, which I have noted on this forum is that you take your car in, leave it with a tuner they spend some time on the dyno with it and bang custom tune and its all sweet. Let me tell you that this IS NOT THE CASE. It takes a lot of time and work to get a tune running spoton, which these workshops would not get any business if they were to charge the average customer for it, as it would be that expensive. So its only fair to expect a few problems with your custom tune.

So unless you have the knowledge and ability to tune the car yourself and spend the time ironing out all the problems to get it as good as possible, or have the money to pay someone to do it, it is not going to happen. In the end it all comes down to how willing the tuner is to make the customer satisfied, it is unfortunate that this has not been the case here. I hope you have better luck with Nizpro Michael.

I agree with fat tony, you cant expect a car to be tuned 110% with just a basic custom tune, every car is also different, for example, 2 ba's both with same modifications, same boost, on the same day, and on the same dyno there is a 150000000% chance of them pushing different power figures, this all comes down to the build of the motor, some have tighter clearances than others, and some allow more timing advancing than others, but so everyone can understand what I mean, you have your freak motors and your normal motors!

The power figure for tha boost is very low. Either there is something very wrong with your motor or the tune is not what is should be.

Are you running a stock XR6T bottom end? If you are then please take your car to be sorted ASAP. 18+PSI being rammed into it isn't doing it any favours at all.

Yes but how is your 18psi brought on FPVPSI, I can sure as sh*t be certain that it aint made at 3000rpm but rather higher up in the rev range, not to mention at 18psi in your car puts a lot less thermal stress on the motor as Michaels 18psi, you run stage 2 Nizpro, better cooler reducing charge temp and cooler air coming from the turbo to begin with because it don't have to work so hard due to way less intake restrictions, therefore less thermal stress on the motor, less prone to detonation, more of a safety margin, less chance of putting a leg outta bed. :spoton:
