I am a 19yr old BF-Xr6Turbo owner, am planing to up-grading at the end of year. After considering all other options including the E-series, EVO's and Nissians, I didnt take much time to work out the the F6 typhoon would be the next car for me. NOTHING like the older engines, and with an edit itself could very much take on an edited T.BUTyour talking phoons, cmmon!! an SS wont touch a phoon and spend the xtra on edit for a phoon and bye bye HSV's!not to mention the phoon wont drink as much juice and even Expensive Daewoo fans admit their bloody sexy.. But for a BF now in the secondhand market, I think they are the best deal going. I have driven both and I know how difficult it is to wipe the smile off your face in the Typhoon. I have never had a very open mind when it comes to Commodores and the VE SS was the first I had ever test driven. I had pretty much made up my mind before posting the topic and the Typhoon it will undoubtably be. Thanks to all for the constructive feedback. I look forward to updating you all in the next couple of months on the purchase.

You can't be serious; comparing an SS to a Typhoon. You're among friends here so let us speak frankly. If you are seriously thinking of buying an SS as an alternative to a phoon then you will most certainly be called a d!ckhe@d by most people here. And we all know Holdens were invented to keep d!ckhe@ds out of Fords right? So there's you're answer - go buy the Holden.that's a bit harsh from a moderator but so true. Read up on the reviews, stats and what have you and make an informed decision. In the end, you're the only one who can choose. I do agree with the statement regarding depreciation however and that in itself will save you plenty of money. You won't be able to do that on the VE platform until they start the runout deals whereas you can do it on the F6 now (unless you're looking for an '06 model of course then the same would apply).Good hunting. The Phoon. I would never ever buy the first generation of an all new model. The VE II/VF will be much better.
