It’s safer doing twice the speed limit in a B series falcon than you are doing half the posted speed limited in allot of the other sh!tboxes on the road. But that's the way the cookie crumbles I guess

Hows you street racing got anything to do with revenue raising. Whats 80 year old Doris behind the wheel or a prime mover driving at a 100kph got to do with your actions. Dont come on here looking for sympanthy from us. Some bloke on here last year got done for a burnout and lost his car over the matter. He wrote about how stupid he was and how he wouldnt be doing it again. If you get caught out doing the wrong thing, learn from it and get on with life, but dont waste our time with desperate pleas for sympathy. If that's pointed in my direction, I didnt make this topic for anyone to feel sympathetic towards me, simply for advice on whats the best road to take in the current situation I'm in.I'm 18, this is my first ANYTHING related to cops, These forums have alot of older people that use them and have experience in this sort of thing, and I just wanted to find out.Oh and an update, I did get my summons and my court hearing is May 22nd, untill then I'm free to drive around. Thanks.

Just need to pick your time.Or are all the grown up people driving XR6Ts like 4 cylinders? Edited 04/05/07 09:12 AM by grepin

NOIf so please explain when and where you read that I was asking for sympathy!I was only making a statement about how just is the justice system.Big deal if you nail it from the traffic lights, how is this really suppose to be so dangerous if you don't get it out of shape or excede the speed limit. The other thing is when you are doing these things you usually concentrate a lot harder than what you are when you are just casually driving down the road. The police / pollies are always quick to blame speed in a accident even though the person was 5 times over the legal booze limit or drug F*%ked. How's the current add with the girl who gets run over by the lady who is running late to pick her child up from school. She turns her head to look at what her younger child in the back seat has to show her then turns back to find a person infront of her car and all is to late to do anything. They then go on about doing the 70kph in a 60kph zone.Man get real if that lady in the same situation was doing the posted speed limit still would not have avoided the same out come. And if she was in a prime mover doing 30kph and did like wise it would have been the same. And if the stupid girl looked before crossing the road it all would have been fine.Good luck on your court day Silhoutte6T. Did you know if you where maybe in a white car they may have not even noticed you.If pays sometime to have a car that blends in.I have owned 3 white cars and never got any fines for either. As for other cars always got hassled. This one occassion in my WHITE 351w TD cortina I took off quickly 1st gear then backed off going up the street while a police car came out of a side road. They pulled me over asked why I was in a hurry?I replied No reason and that I didn't excede the speed limit or brake traction. They just turned around and said slow down or we will fine you next time.Another time same car , just fitted my hornet scoop and lined up with a D car at lights, I though I would be pulled over & hassled but they didn't even look over.SCRIBR right on with your post, but I think I may have to by a Electric powered scooter so I can't be fined. So are all the car companies in the world doing the wrong thing in building cars that excede 0-60kph in under 2hr's. NO Iam not asking for sympathy Iconic Bionic, but just saying may be a Idea to drive a white car and not a Black tough looking piece of machinery pays off some times. There is a thread here somewhere about the meaning of a hoon in a encylopedia. It states that to be a hoon you have to own a jap import (You don't), have illegal mods (Don't think you do) and be young (that you are).Well atleast Iam safe in every one of these from the hooning laws. And again Good luck on your court day Silhoutte6T. Get leagal rep as even if it does cost you more to fight it, at least you won't lose your licence or be penalised that is if you win.If you loose your licence you will find it hard with employment and if you get pulled over again you will get fined as shows that you have a history. There may even be legal help on this site due to its numbers, put up a thread asking for assistance in your area. Interesting.I consider myself grown up but love to hoon.I am 37 years old and have an XR6T for the performance and use it.Spirited drives through the hills, over use of power when overtaking. These by definition now days is hooning. If I didnt like driving performance cars or use them to potential I would have a NA big car or a 4cyl especially at petrol prices now days.Im sure your in the same boat. You cant tell me you have an XR6T and not broken the road laws in it.Even just once to see how it goes.
