I'm not gonna go to jail am I???Mate they will be lucky if they can pin you with a speeding ticket. Like I said earlier, just cast a shadow of doubt. Any inconsistency they make (and you have already told us 2 of them) will totaly sink the case. with out the facts and the proof they are just wasting the courts time, with there opinons and views on "hooning"I would also liek to add that accelerating with a bit of pace off the line is unlikely to be any more dangerous than being overly slow. As long as your driving style suited the conditions than reaching the speed limit is perfectly safe. There are no laws specifically staing what force off acceleration is legal or not. Ony laws on your actual speed, and I very much doubt they have any evidence to back your speeding up. groper Member 611 Member For: 17y 10m 11d Posted 26/04/07 10:15 AM Share Posted 26/04/07 10:15 AM its not about whether you were speeding or not, its completely up to the officers discrection when it comes to hooning. all he has to do is prove you were "testing the vechicles acceleration, braking or handling" QUOTED DIRECT FROM THE LEGISLATION.These laws have given the police a very broad power (deliberately), through very loose wording of the legislation as example I quoted above...I got 1 very important piece of advice for you, GET A LAWYER, A DAMN EXPENSIVE ONE, YESTERDAY!!! its your only chance...
