when starting, at idle and when in gear at idle ive got a miss..

checked the spark plugs and the leads and nothing obvious.. it doesnt stop or surge around it just has what feels like a miss..

doesnt break down under load or revs, just at idle.. being an auto at idle when in D it surges around a bit and you can 'feel' the miss..

could it be the throttle body or TPS sensor ive read so much about?

any ideas would be great

Im pretty sure its all in the tuning, mine was hunting/missing a bit when I brought my car. I got it touched up by a tuner and its been fine since. I would ask your tuner and see what he thinks. If its a constant miss every stroke it could be mechanical but if its missing all over the joint, eg some strokes and not the next, its sounds like its the tuning of the car.

hope this helps mate

by the way these cars have coil over plugs, not leads. lol

Dave its probably the small plug gap that we have to run with high boost levels. Failing that clean out you throttle body. Failing that change the O2 sensor. Mine was knackered and was making the car pop and fart at idle and surge at low rpm like you describe.$55 but off ebay and she was sorted, Tho i think it would be plugs on your car cause your k's are quite low arent they?

there is somethng on it here some where ,can't find it though

basically the easy way remove crossover and gently push open throttle body butterfly and soak a rag in carby cleaner then wipe out the inside of the body

stock plugs 1.1mm boosted cars run .75 to .85mm
