turbotrana Member 2,586 Member For: 21y 7m 25d Gender: Male Posted 23/04/07 04:51 AM Share Posted 23/04/07 04:51 AM His 255kw figure might be before the serious mods. If he did 10.3 with slicks and 12s with street tyres then this seems right. If I was you I wouldn't be putting any money down.

I've been in a 200rwkw vl and it doesn't hook up anywhere near as well as mine on the street. Live rear axle just doesn't seem to get traction as well as irs.The weight isn't as big a deal as often people think. Say the T is 1700kg's, and a vl is 1300kg's the difference is 400kg's or 24%. So to match the power to weight using the 255rwkw figure, a T would need 315rwkw. Given the 33% greater capacity and 21st century technology (VCT, 24 valve, roller bearing turbo etc) I don't the T should be to intimidated by the vl's (although I totally treat them with respect I have to say). Once the T's are using c16 fuel, stripped out bodies, slicks transbrakes etc etc I have no doubt they will be able to upstage the vl's. The only guys who have changed cams seem to have topped 500rwkw which I guesstimate should be enough for a mid to low nine. Nos should be good on these also (both the intercooling effect and more oxygen in the cylinders). These things are nowhere near their full potential yet, simply because they're newer than the vl's. He is now running around 180rwkw.... Its slammed on its arse and it struggles to get traction mind you his wheels arent the best... He took me for a spin and it did go well... Another guy from work just had his fully rebuild and it makes 245rwkw @ 6psi.... its an animal!!!
