I believe the VL is about 400kg's ligher than the T so it will need alot less power to get a 10 than in a BA.

Either way, I reckon he would have you covered.

More like 500kg.

yeah I think he should have me covered... but my question is.. can that car run that time..255kwrw on slicks=10.3

No chance. l own a VL Walkinshaw that has been stroked to 383cu and runs 252rwkw. It was put down the strip by the previous owner and on street tyres ran a 12.4.

Hey mate,

Does he have personalised plates at all?

I'm from the vl turbo world (new member to this forum) so I may know of the car.

It could be possible, but I doubt it, most people with 250-270rwkw in a properly set up car would be running around the 10.6-10.7 at 125+ mph.

Alot of things can matter and don't go believing dyno figures as dynos are merely a tool for tuning, mph is the true indicator.

Find out the mph and from there you should work out if he's bullsh*tting you or not

To be well and truly be able to back up that low 10 I'd be thinking he'd need at least 270-280rwkw in a good setup car.

But who knows whats under his bonnet and how he ran the car when he got a "10.3".

I know of a vl on lpg that only has around 250-260rwkw and has run as low as 10.59 on slicks @ 130mph, I believe he may have beaten this time.

If you do race him, let us know how you go though.

Hey OSO, what sort of money would be involved in turning a N/A into a 10 sec VL Turbo?

XR6T's are the next version of the VL turbo, except they were 600kg's lighter...

If he is running 250 and you have 290

and you weigh 1700kg's

and he weighs 1100kg's then work out the power to weight yourself and add the fact you not racinbg a Expensive Daewoo but a nissan motor.

Unless your a haul ass driver I would say the Nissan VL has ya beat
