Im guilty, I always call the T on the drive way the next VL turbo and think in 10 years time im buying like 5 of them to thrash the living sh*t out of.Ok do you want to know the secrect how they run 11's they got a specail device they run the engine on just the engine and wheels nothing else and it does a 11second and they bitch about how good it is, but its not the car doing it, since its a holdentogeta

Should be up around the high 120's to early 130's.I've seen them run 10.8's-10.9' with 122mph.That's how to tell how full of he is.In regards to the traction issues with live axle, pfft. Years back mine ran 13.0 @ 105 with full tank and was slowly dropping as the fuel level went down so there's no issues there. Even humped a wrx off the line. And that was with sh1tty 14" tyres. In comparison to some of the times I've seen here, there is a lot higher mph's to get near a 13.0.

oso Member 4 Member For: 17y 7m 13d Posted 11/07/07 05:10 AM Share Posted 11/07/07 05:10 AM (edited) what mods have you done to your VL?only very basic mods.Converted n/a to turbo motor (high compression around 9.0:1)t3 hiflowboost controller - 10psi tuned2.5" exhaust (upgrading to 3")Pod filterFMICRan on 215 street tyres at heathcote first time ever racing ran 14.3 @ 87mph, 60 foot 2.34Then ran 14.5 @ 97mph (with passenger), 60 foot 2.4Need more practice, especially getting out of the hole (taking off on no boost, will stall it up next time)Believe the car will run low 14's, possible break high 13's if I get more practice and that's on street tyres, will try with slicks in the future.Only making 164.5rwkw on 10psi (car is daily driven, plus exhaust is letting it down - can boost it more) so pretty happy with the above times for the moment until I get some more racing skills under my belt. Also happy to know that it's running low 14's atm which is exactly how it is on the street, same boost, weight, tyres etc.Other mods: just neatened up engine bay, custom sprayed rocker cover, oil catch can, boost gauge, stereo & riding on stock calais wheels and all the other little things. replaced a lot of stuff, a lot! lol Edited 11/07/07 05:11 AM by oso
oso Member 4 Member For: 17y 7m 13d Posted 11/07/07 05:55 AM Share Posted 11/07/07 05:55 AM (edited) Here is some comparisons from a list that I have taken. All cars vary in weight, intake mods, engine mods, turbo, other bolt ons etc... so here is a variation of times possible. This information was taken off calaisturbo website for those that are wondering. These had to be back up with pictures and timeslips to prove it.10.554@118mph10.630@128.2010.676@127mph10.78@126.410.87@124.8As I stated earlier, a mph of 125+ will prove he can get near the 10.3If you do speak to him again find out mph and any modifications he has performed. If he's manual, forget it, he's sh*t talking unless he has 310+ at the rears and is a damn damn damn good driver.Matt.
