8psi Or 10psi?

I own an 03 auto T with F6 CAI, K&N Filter and a capa flash tune (non custom).

Since I got the flash I have been running 8psi until its next service, which is when I put new plugs in.

I told my gf I can now change it to 10psi, and she said no because she did'nt want more power, which I could understand because she drives it 90% of the time and in peak hour traffic. She guns it sometimes but never really pushes it past 50-75%.

So tonight I pulled a shifty and put it to 10psi without telling her. I got on the drink and let her drive. She started complaining saying "what have you done to the car, why is it so slow blah blah, I told you not to change it you have ruined it etc etc your not a mechanic blah blah dont touch the car leave it alone" .

I told her you need to push it a little more than usual to overtake this GTST on this straight. It was a big step for her (lol) so she put her foot down all the way and holly sh*t I dunno how fast we were going but as we overtook him it chirped into 2nd and she sh*t herself!

So I'm just curious guys, do you like your power in the mid or high revs? Im changing it back to 8psi because I personally never really gun it that hard. Im getting some mods in a few months and just wondering will it be the same? I mean id like to run 10-12 psi but I dontt want to have to thrash the sh*t out of it everytime..

BTW the car is now in 8PSI lol

lol haha. Nah its a genreric out of the box tune.

In a few months im getting an intercooler, injectors, valve springs, pump and hf cat all at once. Ill get a custom tune then.

Would it be safe to say that after all this it will go in the mid range like it does in the high range when I run 10psi?

Stop being a tightass and go get a 400 dollar custom tune now and enjoy it till you do the mods....

Where are you and we can tell you the best venue for your tunes.. That way also at no extra cost you will know how to sequence your mods.....

Trust us..... We have been doing this shiat for years

haha your blunt arent you?

I was going to just get a custom tune now but I seriously can't see the point if its gonna have a heap of work done to it in like 8-10 weeks time. Also, it was a toss up between the tune or new rotors and pads for the front.

Not being a tigharse mate, just using common sense ;)

EDIT - BTW Im from Sydney and have decided to get it done by a bloke called John from Intune.

If you get the custom tune now it will be your base tune and also give you a feel of how much power is accessible and how much you want and how you want it delivered.... (Not just power but economy is availale also)

If you went to one of the site sponsors from here they will not BS you (cause they know you will post the results) and they will guide you through the process of unleashing the "T"....

Just a thought, but this place is the most massive amount of information you could ever need for your car, and the tuners we recommend have their proffessional reputations on the line.. They learnt from their own experience and also through ours...

You seem sensible..... I think that is sensible advise

thanks for the advice mate.

I was under the impression that if I was to get a tune now and spend 400 that I would need to spend another 400 in a few weeks for a retune. At the time I only had a couple of hundred to spend and after experiencing the braking performance of the standard brakes it was top priority that they go.

I do know a little bit about these cars but there are still gaps in my knowledge, so every little bit counts - really appreciate your help.
