NOTHING

These cars will not do much without an Edit or piggy back ECU.

Edit only is a good start, but after that you are on the road to moderm

So Seriously.......

Will a real experianced XR6T mechanic be able to get much more out of a car without spending money on parts.

Can I assume my local Ford dealer has really no idea how to make my car go faster ?

So No edit, No Parts....... what can I expect ???

Seriously, if you want to go fast another option is to forget about the car for the moment and book yourself into a track day. Go play with your car for a while, pay attention and you will have the time of your life, really, and, even though you will be too busy enjoying yourself to notice, you will go really fast. It's not actually about the car it's about having fun.

Get out into that environment and culture for a while and a few things will become much clearer. One is what pushes your buttons in a car, what you condsider fun and the other is the paths you could follow to make the car do what you want. You will quickly notice such things as, the set up for drag racing and track work are quite different - and a road setup is different again. All are great fun, all are fast in their own way. Give them all a try and you will be in a much better position to know the mods you wish to undertake.

There is more than enough experience on this forum to enable you to build what you want for the extent of the budget you wish to sink into your hobby. (note - do not for a moment imagine that any of your expenditure into this is an an way an 'investment')

Regards,

aa

Every time me and my daughter go for a cruise , she hassles me to make the exhaust more noisy , like a truck she says . Might have to listen to her soon , but I'm worried bout the boys in blue . What is the legal limit , do I need an engineers report or similar ??

D , what system are you leaning towards ??
