Yeah it's still possible, just the bracket that it's mounted with at the front of the tray. The BA design was just a couple of primative hinges that's all.

Just undo the gas struts, and then unscrew the bracket and lift it off. Might pay to have someone helping with it though....heavy little suckers.

I do like the look of the sports bars and the hard cover but I went for the full one becuase of the practical side I made a divider for the supplied slots in the tray to hold my swag and bags and various other things, I do move it to the back one sometime, but ti thought it would be hard do access things and sleep there with the bars there.......but they look great without the rear wing

I dont like the sports bar and hard cover combo (I think it looks to try hard) but each to their own.

I kept the hardcover of my BA and fitted it to the BF becasue I think it is a nicer, sleeker looking cover.

The 3 piece hard cover (with bulge) and sports bar is also very hard to see over when reversing. I have ordered this option on my SP Ute and with the spoiler attached, it does make it compulsery to fit a reversing camera if you are a shorty. It's fine for me as I am tall but others I know who have this option have difficulties. I think it looks horn, but each to there own. It's not everyones cup of tea, but if it floats your boat then go for it. :danceforme:

Regards Bob

I agree totaly with this one. Test drove one the other day, it had the bars too(yuk), I LOVED it apart from the fact I cood only just c cars behind me. Doesnt help bein a short ass female either lol

PS, wood it b easy to remove the bars or wood I b left with holes in the cover where they were

Hey guys - What do think of the new hard cover with sportsbar. Alot of motor journalist don't like them. I'm thinking about getting them installed on my ute. I know they're expensive. I just want to konow what Ford fans think of them.

Ta

Igot a cheaper hardcover from flexiglass, was around $1,200.

What comes in real handy about this cover is the handles, you don't need to get your keys out to open it but it's still lockable.Didn't focus on looks here,if I did I would have got a genuine product but I'm actually quite happy its looks.
