well the story goes.....

Around mid March I had the car booked in at Domineli to have a look at this weird noise coming from the rear end. The rear of the car would squeek accelerating in 1st 2nd and 3rd and make a similar noise when backing off.. So me thinks yeah just somehting loose. Also had the leather on the MANual shifter come loose and the good ol hand brake was up the sh*t. Wanted this all fixed before I took the little lady on her maiden voyage down the coast to meet robbos folks....

So I drop the car in at 7.30am to give the guys a heap of time to get it all sorted.... Time goes on.......

Its around 4pm now so I give them a call to find out what the go with the car is.. Yeah its ready we will pick you up in 15mins to half an hour... Sweet......

Gets to about 4.45pm so I decide to give the mechanic that was working on my car a call.. He tells me that it was finished before lunch time :spoton:

A short time later I get a call from ford saying they will be there shortly to come get me (time now 4.50pm) finally get picked up and go get the car (was 5.30pm when I was picked up) so I get the car and drive out.. In the drive way I test the car... It still is doing the same farking thing.. :spoton: I ring ford and let them know its still doing it.. They say bring it back tomorrow....

Next day I take the car for a run and take one of their mechanics for a run.. I didnt even have to leave the driveway to show them

I have a talk to the guy who was looking at the car and he tells me that he was getting right into finding the problem and he had not even finished when I was told to put it back together and go onto another car because they were over booked... :crybaby: :crybaby:

So I was really pissed now cause finding out the car was "done" at lunchtime and it wasnt even fixed and also the fact that I could have had the car back so much earlier in the day... I was ropeable!!!!

Well as I have been pissed off bout that incident I left it for a few weeks and took it back in today.

Its finally fixed. Because the mechanic had all the time in the world to look at it he pulled most of the rear end off lubed her up and replaced the control blade bushes.... FIXED

I know this might piss some ppl off posting about my bad experences but I believe ppl need to know.

Robbo :idunno:

I bet the mechanic got a flogging for telling you he was told to move onto another job!

I love my dealer. Never had any problems with the service department whatsoever.

I have had the same 2nd time it's fixed with Ford service.

I now go down there and pre book my car in for work. Was down there last week to get a new roof console, right foglight surround, rear end and diff replaced. Got the forman to inspect all the issues and go for a test drive to show him the rear end problem and everything is booked in for next week. I find that if I show them the problem and also tell them how to fix it, it is done right first time. The dealer has learnt VERY quickly not to BS me or say it's normal.

Glad they sorted you out the 2nd time.

Sounds like it would of been sorted the first time if they allowed the guy to finish it.

How stupid is that anyway? He's pulled it apart only to be told to put it back together, and then has to do it all again another day.

I dont do track days any racing.. but what are the chances of somthing like the diff going or anything that's gunna take alot of time to fix, going im still a bit weary on modding just yet..

apart from that I have a stupid mate who got a mr2 bout a year ago. custom body kit, turbo, 19s, he payed 15 grand for it and didnt bother getting a cover note just went and picked it up, payed the money and drove off in it.. he has never drivin a rear wheel drive car let alone turbo. he got to his street (it was raining by the way) and he thought he would try n get it sideways (the tyres were also bald) and as a result has lost it completly gone up a gutter into a pole then a brick wall.. he wasnt hurt.. so he has to get it towed to his house which was like 20 metres up the road.. ended up destroying the whole rear of the car rims, axle, diff, body kit, all one side was ripped off and the front was smashed up.. cost him about 7 grand in damage, he has had it fixed to be able to drive it but half of it is still gray primer theres no rear bar just to exhaust hangin off the back. if you live round penrith you might have seen it..
