hi I have 05 xr6t manual 6spd dyno only 245 rwkw std dunlop 235/45 tyres

they appear to loose traction when car hits 3500rpm in 1st it revs very sharply to just off limiter(6400) are better tyres or different shocks or springs or is it the clutch going dyno showed a year ago 570nm torque any feed back appreciated  clutch appears ok

if it only happens in first, second or third I'd say it's traction. Maybe the tyres are stuffed? If you want more traction you can go with wider wheels/tyres, lower tyre pressure, better quality tyres, otherwise it's a case of beeing easy on the throttle in lower gears

if its only in 1st and second I would say its tyres but the standard clutch will be struggling with power, my standard clutch lasted 5 minutes at 255rwkw

Cheers

If your speedometer go's up at the rate your revs go up then it wont be your clutch, clutches will slip more at a low rev high gear and load situation

Of coarse your car will break traction in 1st gear with the edit and tune your tyres have nothing to do with it. Anybody who has the edit and tune should be able to break traction in 1st and 2nd without any trouble whats so ever it's called more power!!

Better tyres will give your more grip for sure but there is not a tyre on the market that will hold the power of these cars once they have been modded ask Simon from Xtreme

Changing your suspension will certainly help with this but will not stop it.

245rwkw is not that much power for good tyres to handle. It is just above a stock F6 and my car does not spin the wheels on a dry road with my Advan v103's, but it did with the SP9000.

Tyres WILL make a huge difference. When you run over 250rwkw then not many tyres will be able to hold that much power.

100% agree with that statement, a good soft tyre will hold that power easily
