ive seached on the forum and other then a couple of arguments saying which pump flows what I cant find much detail about the 294.Is one of these pumps more suitable to the XR6T's or is the only difference the flow..

Both have been used.. The most solid specs I can find is the 341/342 is 255l/h, and rated for 3BAR fuel presure. the 294 is 180l/h and rated at 5bar fuel presure.

Keep in mind the xr6turbo runs 4 bar fuel presure base, and with 15psi boost, equals 5bar fuel presure.. Given the specs above, who knows what the 341 flows at 5bar.. could be more than 180l/h, could be as less... Who knows?

Its not hard to work out which one I'd be using..

If you havent already worked it out, its the gss-294. Having the bigger opening, and the 90degree filter which sits FLAT on the bottom of the swirl pop is a added bonus.

Don't forget to get yourself some Gates fuel hose to replace the factory ones from the pump / swirl pot if you are going to replace it yourself.
