muzzzza Member 103 Member For: 21y 11m 9d Location: Sydney South Posted 28/05/03 06:02 AM Share Posted 28/05/03 06:02 AM I saw today at Peter Warren what I thought was an XR6 NA.On closer inspection I see the XT6 badging (on the boot & side skirts)and standard XT interior etc.So much for keeping the XR look for the Xr's only. Then I see a Ghia with (you guessed it) an XR front end & body kit.Has anyone seen or heard of these ? Just the XT "S" series. XR front, hmmmm, they may have paid top $ for this (why not just get the N/A or Turbo), then again, I've seen or have heard from the dealer that there have been XT's and Fairmonts that have been ordered with the Boss 260 and XR8 bonnets but they have shelled out major $$ for it.Interesting. Do Ford really let you play mix and match provided you fork out the money or are dealers doing these mods?l find it really suprising that you could get an XR8 motor in a Fairmont. Falchoon I see red Member 5,758 Member For: 22y 21d Location: nowhere in particular Posted 29/05/03 02:43 AM Share Posted 29/05/03 02:43 AM I reckon it would be dealers. I think Bazza (BS888) has XR suspension and seats in his XT V8. By the time you option up a base model with all the XR goodies it would probably cost more than a "proper" XR. As for a Fairmont with Boss260....why not just buy a GT or GT-P with a Boss290?

So much for exclusivity
