Car has 93,500k'sMate am I happy, the work that ford will cary out as a result (yes this has been confirmed with the dealer):1. All Brake calipers lose causing rattle noise - WARRANTY2. Centre rear differencial mount worn- WARRANTY (requires the diff to be removed)3. Power steer high pressure hose weeping (will be repleaced) - WARRANTY4. Both rear shocks and rubbers - R&R WARRANTY5. All Rose joints in rear suspension- R&R WARRANTY6. Both front shock absorbers and rubers -R&R WARRANTY7. Right front seat foam collapsing -R&R WARRANTY8. Right front seat skin stitching (replace seat skin) - WARRANTY9. Left front seat skin stsiching (replace seat skin) - WARRANTY10. Engine oil leak between engine and bell housing - WARRANTY11. Engine oil leak at front of sump - WARRANTYThe report in light of the work was cheap and carries significant weight with the dealer. The only item under contention is the front disc rotors. They have heat fractures all round. Ford suggest they are not covered due to the K's (93,500) I am challenging that and expect them to make good on a remove and replace basis. I have Ford coming back to me first thing tomorrow with an answer. (The car is only 18 months old)I will have the follow up inspection after a few thousand k's and will ensure work has been completed. Cost is apparently only $22 for follow up.Cant suggest this enough for cars going out of warranty.__________________

Yeah - they said this - is it really true? if so, Why?Yeah - they said this - is it really true? if so, Why?I'll answer my own question:NRMA VEHICLE INSPECTION SERVICE WINDS DOWNWednesday 7 February 2007NRMA Motoring & Services is withdrawing from the vehicle inspection market after a steady eight-year decline in member demand, revenue and profit.NRMA road service is not affected by the closure. The decision follows Vehicle Inspection’s operating loss of more than $1 million last financial year and deteriorating market conditions. The business is forecast to lose a greater amount in 2006-07.Currently less than one per cent of NRMA members use vehicle inspections each year.Market conditions, including sustained growth in new vehicle sales and the expansion of extended warranties, indicate that demand is likely to drop even further in future as fewer motorists require vehicle inspections.NRMA intends to redeploy the workforce by offering suitable alternative employment opportunities for all staff affected by the closure into other areas of the business, including the patrol workforce. A full range of job-seeking and counselling services will also be available to support those affected.NRMA vehicle inspections will continue to be available to members until the end of April 2007. The NRMA is now examining referral services which members may use after April.Media contact: Nic Frankham 0439 133 114NRMA Vehicle Inspections: 13 11
