shouldnt have been taken so literally though ay? point is $ for $, GTR is faster BFYB and it bugs me that tossers on here reckon they car can beat a ferrari and their car is faster than an evo7 and blah blah etc how many threads can I see that go like this- "I beat a (insert stock random car here) whilst they were running 280+ rwkw blah blah", WTF are you comparing modified car to stock car anyways :fool:

'groper' go back to the skyline forums, stop :stirthepot: sh#t and trying to feed the GTR plus 5K equals 10 sec's rubbish. Try telling that to owners of GTR's on the skyline forums.

5K??

"Tell him he's dreaming!"

No-one here thinks that there car is as good/fast as a modded GTR, but then a GTR isn't the be all and end all either. VEYRON anyone??

Now I know the owner of this vehicle personly, and can tell you he has spent alot more than 5k. How much do you reckon an OS Gieken clutch is worth? Or the gearset for that matter?

How much do you think GTR 700 spent? Lots mopre than 5 grand.

I owned an original stock Aussie R32 GTR which I had in the mid to late 90s.

The car ran 13.1 sec in absolutely standard trim.

I replaced the exhaust, upgraded the intercooler and edited the factory ECU, cost about $6K. The car could run high 11s all day. Ran 1:08s around Wakefield and never got beaten on the street (maybe I was lucky)... Straight line around corners, wet or dry. Torque down low was gut wrenching when you stepped off the clutch at 7000 rpm!!... I soon broke the garbox and done the clutch. It was the most fun car I have ever had but could not park it anywhere ...

But there is no way a GTR would do a 10s pass for this money unless you NOS it up big time and try your luck...

:fool:

then your mate dunno how to drive if he spend 100k and only landed a 10.4...

tranny, you may have accounted for some modded gtr`s that can t drive or werent trying, but my brother gtr (which is only running 360kw at the flywheel atm) has accounted EVERY xr6t he`s come up against, not just 3 :diggit:

hwy drag from 100kph and on, is about the only chance you will have... my bro`s gtr does 0-100 in 3.5 sec, like to see that in a t :stirthepot:

watch this space...

must be a slow one, I can do 0-100km/h in 3.2s and still didn't land a ten :spit:

One of my sons friends has a modded R33 GTR; I don’t know how much he’s spent, but probably less than 20k, stock gearbox; he drives to WSID on his usual street tyres, runs low 11s; drives home, no fuss at all; I don’t know anyone that drives a Ford turbo that can do this;

I went in a 3litre custom GTR in Melbourne last year; up into the hills in the SE; I’ve never been in a car that handled or braked anything like it; the GTR driver was a very good steerer.

A $5k spend on a GTR won’t get a 10s; most sensible people know that.

As for GTR700 Mario would have spent quite a few $100k, but that’s a special category.

I fully agree with Zap’s comments. If you launch hard an STi, EVO or GTR they will easily jump ahead. Our Fords just don’t have the traction on normal street tyres.

The STi 6-speed is very strong; it is the 5 speed box that is week.
