I am thinking of putting 4.1 gears in my BA 4 speed auto Ute.

Has anyone put these gears behind a 4 speed auto.

I would like some feedback if anyone has any

I also looked into this but, from what I was told the factory ratio is still the best ratio.

unless you are chasing a car for high speed driving or a car that will be very quick down low but no top end there is not much point changing these gears.

the Expensive Daewoo boys get alot from changing diffs but I have not heard of the Ts getting good results from it.

if I were you spend the money somewhere else as the gears you are looking at will not be overly successful.

although I could be very wrong and have been told porkys.

the factory 4 speed box and the factory ratio marry up very well.

I know as far as perfomance goes It will be the same. Im not really hunting performance but more looking for fun factor. I want the gears to rev out quicker so it feels faster. Im sick of having to go 140 km/h everytime I go 1-2

You could always try it mate....

I put 4.11's in my old VN SS (had standard 3.08's in it) and it was like "FAAAAAARRRRRK!!!!!"

Made it a completely different car to drive.

Got to agree! I've replaced the original 3.07:1 gears with 3.73:1 in the Monaro and it's a lot nicer to drive, even returnig better fuel economy up to around 80km/h.
