If you can afford the 41 thou I would go the bf just for the 6speed auto.

Yea I was thinking that, the only thing I was thinkin is with the BA its got a few more options and with the money saved there would enough for a few mods, on the other hand is the 6speed auto that much better?

Yeah the ZF IS that much better.

If you bought the 4speeder, you would only be complaining about making the wrong move. Getting the BF is a great base to build from and save for any mods.

That BF has been for sale for since around the middle of January, so they are having trouble shifting it. I think they started at $43.5k.

There are unfortunately very few BF T's for sale in South OZ at the moment, but I would have thought that in the next few months or so that more should start hitting the 2nd hand market. BA wise the market seems to hover at about 20 ~ 30 for sale at any one time.

Just for your comparison I picked up one of the few 2nd hand BF's that I have found back in January for $36k. (Bionic, ZF 6speed, luxury pack, Nov '05, 20,000kms). That was from Jarvis Ford Norwood.

I can thoroughly recommend the ZF box over the old 4 speed. And the Twin Climate control Luxury pack is worth trying to get over the Leather/premium/manual aircon combo.

Good luck.

Although I am having issues with the auto shift in my BF, which is just a faulty mechanism in the lever, I recommend the 6spd box. I had only 1 condition on buying a T, and that was this box. The 4 spd auto and 5 spd manual in the BA are good for around 350kw at the fly, but problems will arise if you push the envelope. And lets be honest, after a few mods you will be past this figure anyway. If you can afford it then buy it.

I recently upgraded from a BA 4 speed to a BF 6 speed and mate I'm telling you I've never looked back, the gear box alone is worth every cent :fool:
