Take it back to a dealer to get fixed. The car is still under warranty, so make it there problem.

The Diffhousing problem is not uncommon in cars that are driven hard.

If it is the emissions light, then yes it sould be fine to drive.

I got the NRMA guy out today through Ford's Roadside Assitance because the car is still under warranty and he was excellent. Took the time to diagnose the problem using my car's computer and his own display in his car and explain it to me in simple terms. It was a P1000 error which meant that a solenoid in an outlet valve on the turbo was not functioning properly, causing higher than usual pressure build up in the turbo. He was able to make the Malfunction Indicator Lamp icon go off and it has stayed off so far. He agreed Zap that the car would be OK to drive but suggested I don't get on the loud pedal too hard if it does come back on again. He also said that NRMA only ever come out to the XR6 Turbos for flat batteries or if someone has locked keys in the boot and that provided you meet the service expectations they are bullet proof which I was delighted to hear after the rocky start. Thanks for taking the time to offer your thoughts on this Zap and I hope this helps anyone else who might experience this problem some day.

P1000 is a code relating to the ECU not reading enough data due to lack of distance, to assess the system.

P1000 is not normally a problem code as such.

It is normally set after a disconnected battery, reflashing the ECU or even just doing a reset on the ECU
