Kermit Member 3 Member For: 15y 8m Posted 29/03/09 08:13 AM Share Posted 29/03/09 08:13 AM I got the NRMA guy out today through Ford's Roadside Assitance because the car is still under warranty and he was excellent. Took the time to diagnose the problem using my car's computer and his own display in his car and explain it to me in simple terms. It was a P1000 error which meant that a solenoid in an outlet valve on the turbo was not functioning properly, causing higher than usual pressure build up in the turbo. He was able to make the Malfunction Indicator Lamp icon go off and it has stayed off so far. He agreed Zap that the car would be OK to drive but suggested I don't get on the loud pedal too hard if it does come back on again. He also said that NRMA only ever come out to the XR6 Turbos for flat batteries or if someone has locked keys in the boot and that provided you meet the service expectations they are bullet proof which I was delighted to hear after the rocky start. Thanks for taking the time to offer your thoughts on this Zap and I hope this helps anyone else who might experience this problem some day.
