I have had a good look through this car - and the funny thing is how standard it looks inside and out (other than roll cage etc)

The car has RX7 based struts, different brakes, diff, engine, box, computer, interior- basically not much Focus other than body and trim.

PS = repost x2 but ... interesting.

This car was for sale until recently at around $70k. It isnt advertised at the moment - so maybe it sold?

I cant actually see where the engine fits , there seems to be a big space between the intercooler and the front of the engine, I cant see how the engine fits in between the firewall.

It has a completely new firewall/tunnel, starts just under the leading edge of the winscreen and heads back.

Looks like it doesnt fit - but it certainly does, though... I would imagine there would not be much room around the engine - and lots of heat soak into the cabin.

Jeezus you could make that into a serious weapon!

Imagine if that particular 4.0T was one of the finest to come out of XFT, HPF, Redcliffe Dyno or Nizpro (read: well over 1,000 Horsepower)

With a stripped out focus tipping the scales at what? 1,000kg? Drop her onto some rubber fat enough to putt ALL that power down and expect 7's.

that's something id seriously like to see :)

Cheers. :ifiusethisimafag:

I'd be a great drag strip car with that kind of power to weight ratio. But not so good on the track, being so front heavy.

Its not that front heavy as the engine is almost mid mounted. It is built for Targa purposes. They guy who built it is on the Toyota Forums I'm on as they also built 2 front Mid mounted 2jzgte AE101 2 door Corollas.

Current build is a late model MR2 with fibreglass shell & Turbo Hayabusa motor.
