I am loving the car atm but am just a little worried about the brake squel I hear from the premo brakes. I have been reading a few post's and it does seem fairly commen. What can I do about it??. I have 3 months to sort any problems on this car under a Ford "used car warranty" so I spose I am trying to get tips on anything else to look for?. Main thing I have found so far is the brake squeel. Car has done 69,000k's. btw.. black is soooo hard to wash & keep clean! finding out the hard way . Luckily I enjoy washing her haha.

Ford released a new set of pads that resolved the issue. Just take it to the Ford service department and they should be able to change them over for you. Apparenly, they aren't changing them automatically as some people like the squeel

Nice ride.As per the post above, later versions of the pads significantly reduce but do not completely eliminate the squeal.Squeal occurs during light braking. The new pads reduce both the frequency of occurance and the intensity of the noise. You still need to wash the wheels every week. The brakes are however brilliant in this application.Regards,aa

The pad's do seem to be fairly new.. I will be taking the wheels off over the weekend and checking the pad's out. The front caliper's are black with Ford PBR written on them, with thicker slotted rotor's. The rear looks to be standard caliper with slotted disk. (without pulling the wheels off)One other thing Ive noticed which im not 100% sure about is the idle of the engine.. I will be looking through post's tonight.. but is it normal for there to be a slight differ in idle every now and then??. Almost like a miss but not really, its hard to explain. If I sit in the car and watch the RPM needle it may jump up or down (a few mm's) every now and then, very rare but still happens. Heard of this??. Im just trying to get anything repaired before the car runs out of the 3 month warranty. Once again the car has done 69,000 k's.
