Got a Quote From the original carbra mob, they want $407 for a black one and $550 for coloured. Are they worth it??CheersGav

Guest Guests Posted 03/04/07 03:53 PM Share Posted 03/04/07 03:53 PM I've got one and it's great for long highway trips. It's from the proper carbra place in VIC and it cost around $450 from memory. Alot cheaper then respraying the front end before resale.

The fitting was awkward with the metal brackets(covered with material) that hold around the front mudguard lip prone to come off on full lock over driveways etc. But the biggest problem was it got to about 205 and felt like it hit a wall! I took the bra off and presto, back to normal. I assumed the flow of air to the motor was restricted at speed (I've got 2 intakes). This test was carried out on my private driveway of course. The water temperature did not appear to be affected. Looks heaps better than the black ones and is worth it rather than painting your bar every 6 months and keeps the sh*t out of your IC/radiator. Putting plastic over the headlights seriously blocks the airflow. I have punched holes around my carbra headlight plastic to increase air flow. Mirror bras go over the mirrors to keep the bugs off.Wayne
