GTEXXED Banned Banned 910 Member For: 12y 5m 9d Gender: Male Posted 31/07/12 12:23 PM Share Posted 31/07/12 12:23 PM (edited) With oil following the coolant trend in everyday normal driving the 82 degree item has been best for me,not hi-flow just plane Jane 82*er.Oil sits at 200-210F all the time once up to operating temps,with the hi-flow 82 it was at around 185-190 and just not quite enough as explained to me.If I do skids or circuit work the hi-flow comes back out of retirement and then behaves like a normal 82* on the street oil/coolant temp wise.in other words I have to agree with ratter and Jet.OP,are you planning on using some sealant for the thermostat housing or something as the thermostat has the gasket around it to stop the thermostat leaking?
