chooch Member 256 Member For: 20y 10m 9d Location: Adelaide Posted 01/04/07 11:46 AM Share Posted 01/04/07 11:46 AM dude, I had to pay $2700 for a stock EF falcom when I was 19. Like me, if you really want the car then you find ways to get the cash.Don't be dodgy and get third party, for a car like that you need full comp. I payed 2300 last year to insure my t and this year it was 1650 purely for being with them under comprehensive for 12 months with no claims, I agree with others saying they are not a cheap car to run and especially so if modded and to be honest if you cant afford that insurance then I seriously wouldnt consider modifying it, with just cars it wont change the cost of your insurance but there a a lot of costs involved in modifing these cars. just cars have been fantasic with me so far and I seriously doubt if you will find it cheaper anywhere else.Mac

Imagine being unlucky and having couple of accident a month or something like that...You'll have to sell your car just to pay for the excess. I just turned 23 and Im with RACV full comp and paying $1700 and the excess would be $900 (basic $500 + under 25yrs $400. Its still too much money but what can you do when you want to own a 4l turbo car!???!PS: Why did you buy a car that you wont be able to financially support? Only RAC were going to insure me. At the time I was 21 and had a perfect record since getting my license. The quote I got was around $2100/year, but at the time the XR6T I was looking at was $35000. .....hence I bought a Fairmont instead. But there is always light at the end of tunnel, 11 months till I turn
