Hey guys,

I just got my 2005 BA MKII XR6T last fridayand this is my first post  . Its a 6 speed manual and still has about 2 years warrenty. I am looking to put an exhaust system on it but need some advise. I was thinking about a a 3 inch system with the works including dump pipe ect, but would like to what effects this would have on my engine and car overall and what exacty a dump pipe ect does. My car has no other mods and all the only mod I want to do is the exhaust system but wanted advise if this system could stress the engine and void warrenty.

Cheers!

if you seach the forum, you will find all your answers, but ill say this to save you a little the first time.

it will not improve your performance unless you get an edit to go with it. the ECU is very clever and wont let produce any more power no matter what mods you do. so the first thing you must do is get an edit with or without any mods to go with it. costs around 850-950 for the flash tuner and tune.

Yes, you risk your warranty. Unless you get something like Edit, you risk issues such as overboost with just an after market exhaust.

If you just want sound, replace the centre muffler with hotdogs.

this edit they speak of is a capa flash tuner.

on your car it is undetectable by ford and you will get a real performance boost for around 1200 dollars.

my car has the stock exhaust system and makes 280rwkw.

I dont know about the bf but the ba is supposed to be stealth.

if they take one look at my cat they will laugh at me if I ask for warrenty.

3000km was the first and last time ford get to see my car.

First you need to answer your own question as to why you want to upgrade your exhaust. I understand that factory system is good for 300rwkw. My advice is that you contact Simon at Nizpro before you do anything to the 'T' .
