You really need an edit to get the most potential out of having a cooler thermostat. Is that what it's doing? Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/33759-turbo-temps/page/2/#findComment-515784 Share on other sites

I have a cooler thermostat though, in conjunction with edit etc etc Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/33759-turbo-temps/page/2/#findComment-515798 Share on other sites
groper Member 611 Member For: 18y 3m 18d Posted 31/03/07 11:56 AM Share Posted 31/03/07 11:56 AM I dont believe that, thermostats only restrict the water supply to the radiator when the engine starts up from cold helping it to get to full temp quicker. 90% of engine wear occursr when cold due to larger clearances and cold oil not protecting like warm oil. once the engine reaches operating temp, it is fully open and therefore cant make it run cooler than it otherwise would. waste of money... some people believe anything...
