Whats the go with the flywheel? Did you you the factory flywheel and just have it machined?

They machined the factory flywheel for $66.

Sorry MUZ, I just checked my reciepts lol the reason why it cost me 1200 is cos the dickheads at ford charged me extra to get my flywheel machined which cost $70 and they charged me for just ripping out my gearbox to tell me that the clutch was fried. otherwise the clutch kit (clutch plate and pressure plate) cost $520 sorry bout that. :)

its the torque that burns the clutch and 330kw with approx 750NM of torque is the max that this specific clutch can handle. Autotech themselves supply that clutch for $950 and when I told Joe how much I got it for he said that's cost price. im getting the Xtreme aluminium flywheel put in today that cost $210 I been told its far greater than the factory one. Car is almost finished cant wait to get it back on saturday.

I ended up not going for either of the two options (twin plate or option 3) but instead just had my Xtreme HD cerametallic clutch rebuilt to the Xtreme motorsport clutch specs. They replaced the disk on the pressure plate with a chromoly unit and swapped the clutch disk to a paddle wheel type setup. I also got a new chromoly flywheel and it only cost me $800 :spoton:

Drivability is 100% better than before and pedal feel is about the same as stock. It worked out to be much cheaper than any other option and it holds 305rwkw with ease. Thanks for all the replies :crybaby:

agree'd that they hold the power with ease, I have a Extreme cerametallic XTRA-HD cushion button aswell and other than the slight shudder SOMETIMES , I can drive it perfect, but my mrs and friends cant use it very well they tend to shudder it on take offs.

ive given this thing an absolute flogging and its still as good as the day it was installed. :spoton:

definately good value, I would NEVER touch a exedy after seeing other peoples experiences!

Yeah definitely can't complain about durability but it would be nice if it were a bit more refined in the drivability area. Oh well, you cant have everything when you pay such a little price for a performance clutch.

I wonder if they could do a organic twin plate that would hold ~350kw and have nice driveability.... would be worth looking into if u needed another!

The guy I got mine done by said Xtreme Clutches can't make an organic plate worth a s@#t so if I were to go organic I'd be looking at an Option 3
