Guys,

Just wanted to get ppl's opinions on Octane Boosters.

Does it really work?

Any positives or negatives?

I run V-Racing 100 religiously in the car and weekends throw the Nulon booster in and found that when it's in the fuel consumption is pretty good.

Cheers

Billsta

Yes it does work provided you get the right 1, More is not necessarily better either.

Nulon Pro Strength is one, there is one more that is highly recommended and can only be bought from star performance in five dock forgot the name thou... opps

Your spark plug life is shortened drastically IMO, the up side is that it reduces detonation for engines that require high octone fuels... some tunes in some of our cars require occy booster to prevent detonation (ping) that is also dependent on how your tuner has set Boost, Timming ect ect....` and whether there is compensation for bad fuel built in to the tune..

I carry a bottle of the stuff in my boot Just In Case...

A wise bald man once told me many moons ago... he knows who he is

for those with a edit

slot 1.. ECO tune for the enviromently friendly.... :spoton: I wanted this tune

slot 2.. 95 tune, run with 98 fuel to be on the safe side for fuel varience

slot 3.. 98 tune, The big gun tune as some freaks call it, I will run 98/100 fuel with a Dash of Occy booster just for saftey's sake..

I use the nulon pro booster, but only for times when Im going to be constantly holding boost... like track and friday night special runs

But, I never have the car tuned with booster, just 98... it leaves me some margin

this is where u need to be careful.

if the bottle says adds 7 points that's 0.7ron.

if u use 98 and add 7 pionts irs 98.7

have a look at the nos booster its 30 points or 3 ron. :hammerhead::spoton:

doesnt the nulon pro strength increase it by up to 7 NUMBERS?(increase up to 105 from a 98 fuel) not 7 POINTS?
