I was gonna try this on mine but after reading that I'm not so sure.Mind you, the Ford dealer I called said I can't buy the TPS and I had to buy the whole throttle body for $450 odd.I really did not want to have to put up with the crappy idle and stalling. If the signal to the sensor or the connector is dodgey it will give you a rough and erractic idle and even stall like you said. Maybe take it to your ford dealer and get them to check the circut for you and make sure its not that.Hope that helps

When you re-install it be careful not to turn the centre shaft past the stops. If this happens the internal wipers will break off and the car will idle at 200rpm, you wont be able to rev motor then it will stall.

I left my car with my performance mechanic for a week and he drove it non stop to find the problem... and guess what, it ran perfectly for him, but within an hour of picking it up it started stalling on me again. His suggestion is a faulty unichip, but I dont think that is the go seeing as people with edit and even stock cars see the same thing. I might see if I can get them to check the timing positioning sensor. Any idea what that is worth?Ive basically grown accustomed to coming to a stop with my foot on the brake while giving it a bit of accelerator. pretty unsafe ford!
