What are the best aftermarket valve springs for the T and whats a reasonable price to pay for a NEW set ? Can a normal mechanic fit them ? Will a re-tune be needed after aftermarkety's are fitted ?

Cheers ..

PM me if anyone has a set they are willing to sell, Im in QLD

Nizpro springs seem to be the way to go. Atomic do them also. I would pay no more than 300 bucks for a full set of whatever brand you choose.

And if the grease monkey has the required tool, then he has prolly done it before. If not, you may hear him say " Oh f*ck me dead, where did that collet go!" And that's not a good thing to hear when changing valve springs.

Yeah nizpro ones seem to do the job. You probably don't need a re-tune, however, if the valve springs were holding you back powerwise, I would say that a retune would allow your tuner to be able to get more out of it for you.

I had atomic valve springs put in my car as the tuner wasnt happy with the standard ones,I got these put in from a diff mechanic, took it back for a retune.I went from 244rwkw to 250rwkw but at 170kmh on dyno I had 20rwkw more. Also went from 14.0 to 12.8 1/4 mile after retune with valve springs. So I would get a retune for sure :roflmbo:
