XR6T Colour Opinions

Hello all great forum :)

I've finally decided to trade my VXII Phantom Black SS Late model camira and go to the dark side and purchase a XR6T.

I can say I will never own a Black car again, 1 hour after it is washed it shows the dust and my pet hate bloody swirl marks! No matter how careful you are when washing and polishing the paint still gets covered in them.

For these reasons I am 95% sure I will get my XR6T in Winter White, easy to look after and best of all swirl marks will not stand out like the black.

I was wondering if any of you have any opinions on the other colours available in terms of easy care. I like the look of Blueprint but wonder if will show swirl marks easily?

Thanks

I ordered my XR6 in black, but I'm pretty sure I'm insane, so that's ok. :)

Seriously, the XR6 is one of the only cars I'd consider getting in white -- it still looks awesome. I particularly didn't choose Acid Rush, Blueprint or Phantom as I knew they'd be the far more popular colours and I wanted one that didn't quite stand out as much.

Having said that, I figure go with the colour choice you like looking at the most and work out the cleaning problems afterwards. :)

I have seen a White XR6 at City Ford and it looks bloody awesome.. still has the sporty agressive look.. At the end of the day it just boils down to personal taste.. what you like and are comfortable with..

I totally agree with that.

I'm getting blue print but I must admit it may be difficult to keep clean. I was surprised to see a blueprint ute at a dealer after some rain and the dust/water marks were very obvious. As for swirl marks?? Hopefully I'l find out soon (delivery pending) but suspect that they wont be quite as obvious as on the darker colours. IMO Silver is the best "clean" colour, having owned 2 silver cars they always "seem" clean. I would have gone for Mercury silver but the boss (wife) banned that colour

I'd say White or Mercury Silver would be the 2 'cleanest' colours also. I own (soon to be owned ) a white AU Ute and although it always looked good, when washed it really shined. My 9 year old daughter commented after a wash .. " Ohh .. is your ute white.. I thought it was a kind of dirty yellow". She gets the smart arse gene from my wife.

I loved the Phantom and although a darker colour, I'm happy to give it a go. Mine has the 5 ways protection pack on it which includes a 'shield' over the paint. This means no polishing. Time will tell if it works well or not.

Guys, good to see the Winter White in a photo, mine is said to be due for key change next Friday and I haven't even seen one in white. Being in the outback and seeing the dust collect hours after washing the last two red XR's I thought I'd give white a go. What sorts of paint protection are there out in the market and who does them around Sydney / Nowra way? I thnk it should be one of the first things I do.
