He beat me across the lights (yes I have lights on my private test track) but I smashed him as soon as I hit 70k's (any thing under 70 just spins out of control). When he pulled up he said" sh*ts that's fast, what have you done to it?" Nothin mate stock as. He said he might have to look into gettin one for every day, I offered to swap but he said na, she'll be right.ps: the sound of the spider would put a horn on a jelly fish. thebrunks Member 665 Member For: 20y 11m 5d Location: Gold Coast Posted 20/03/07 02:34 PM Share Posted 20/03/07 02:34 PM Old FoMoCo could take a leaf out of Toyota's book!Toyota tuff!!!!!I wouldn't part with my old SR5 Extra Cab Hilux 4X4 for anything, the 3 Xr6 T's I've owned have nothing on the build quality compared to the Jap cars!!!The funny part is that it cost me more than any T I've owned & that was over a decade ago.....LOLShe's just turned over 300,000 klm's & I use her as my daily driver, my tow vehicle for the multitude of race cars I own (8 at last count), she's been around Oz, up the Cape all over SE Qld & on numerous fishing trips up to Fraser. In fact I've now owned it for 13 Years & it still goes well with luxuries modern cars can only dream of!The most important part is it can cool a stubby from room temp to ice cold in 20 minutes whilst sitting in the cup holder. HAHAHAHAHAHA, got me stuffed why manufacturers still don't do this!If Toyota compete head to head with HSV/FPV, they'll definately eat into their customer base. The old Ford vs Expensive Daewoo stuff is starting to die as is the V8 Super Taxis especially after the *beep* Kelly fiasco of last year. It's time for a 3rd player in the market place & TRD have the guts to do it!Bring it on I say, they're as Australian as Holden & Ford anyway!
